Senior Business Analyst (On-Site)

Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Business Analyst to work on-site in Rochester, MN with healthcare experience and Information Technology.

This project will involve a comprehensive review and update of existing documentation to ensure it accurately reflects the current state of operations.

Scope includes:

- A thorough examination of all existing documentation to identify areas that require revision or clarification.

-Working closely with team members to gather input and ensure that the updated documentation aligns with their understanding of processes and workflows.

-Modifying existing documents to reflect current practices and standards.

-Developing new workflows or updating existing ones to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

-Creating new documentation where necessary to address gaps in coverage or provide additional information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide business analysis services at a local, institutional or enterprise level.
  • Understand and consider both the business and the technical needs of all customers with the goal of providing a quality product or process that meets the business objectives.
  • Exam costs, benefits and risks associated with the proposed investment/project and recommends alternatives for solutions throughout the business life cycle.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and users to synthesize, articulate and document business objectives and requirements by applying system and analytical thinking methodology and discipline.
  • Proficient understanding of business strategy and business planning principles and applies to project work (areas may include but not limited to: value proposition, mission/strategy, goals/objectives, technology assessments, funding, and management/administration).
  • Contribute to project charter and plans, work assignments, target dates, and other aspects of assigned projects.
  • Apply systems engineering methodologies and discipline throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform data analysis, defines and documents business requirements, supports translation to functional specifications early in the development cycle, and concludes with design synthesis and system validation while considering the complete system.
  • Assist project leaders in coordinating deployment of deliverables.
  • Demonstrate system and analytical thinking capability.
  • Progressive knowledge and demonstrated use of business analysis methodologies and tools.
  • Maintain effective correspondence and in-person communication.
  • Builds credibility, rapport and partners with others to understand their needs and provides conflict resolution, problem solving, and ability to drive consensus.
  • Work in partnership with stakeholders to develop a solid knowledge base of business needs.
  • May manage projects of mid-level complexity, which could include sub-components of larger-scale projects as directed by project leaders.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in using tools like Google Docs, Word, or specialized documentation software. 
  • Ability to create and analyze process diagrams (flowcharts, UML).
  • Clear and concise communication skills to convey complex information in a digestible manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and gather input. 
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues related to documentation and processes. 
  • Meticulousness in ensuring accuracy and consistency in documentation. 
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks
 
Education & Experience Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years experience in business analysis, business administration, engineering, information science, health or science-related field.
